Wyoming Film Showcase
The filmmaker will be in attendance for a Q&A From thesnaz.com, a blog based in Jackson Hole, come four vignettes on the people and pastimes of Wyoming's most storied valley. Jackson author and photographer David Gonzales produced these videos between 2006 and 2008. The WYOMING SHORT FILM CONTEST, conducted by the WYOMING FILM OFFICE welcomed all films that took place in WYOMING, featured WYOMING, or presented WYOMING as a major character in the storyline. The winner, David Gonzales will screen a collection of short films that he submitted and they will screen within the WYOMING FILM SHOWCASE at the 2008 Jackson Hole FIlm Festival. Plus, David will receive $25,000 towards the production budget of his next project shot in WYOMING! Congrats David!
Global Insight Program
The filmmaker will be in attendance for a Q&A It's Afghanistan's first democratic election--ever. In the aftermath of 9/11, America's military might has set the stage. But who will determine the fate of democracy? FRONTRUNNER filmmakers follow the most unlikely candidate. 'Vote for the mother,' Dr. Massouda Jalal shouts to the crowd. This medical doctor and mother of three boldly runs for president--the only woman in a field of 17 candidates. In a dramatic turn of events, she holds the fate of the country's first presidential election in her own hands.

The filmmaker will be in attendance for a Q&A Mascots:They’re undervalued, they're unappreciated, but, hey, they love it. Chris travels performing as Reggy the Purple Party Dude. Reggy has a talk show, is the official spokes-character of the Mascot Hall of Fame and fights for mascot rights. Brad leaves 'Sherman' behind, moves to Fresno, and develops the personality for 'Parker,' a new bear.. Jim attends Mascot Bootcamp to polish his skills as 'Salty.' He wants to leave Syracuse but tragedy befalls him as he pursues his goal to be a big name mascot.

When the very fabric of reality collapses around him, George is dragged into a twisted dimension where relics from his old life confront him as robotic perversions of their former selves. Before he can make sense of it all, George finds himself running for his life.

The filmmaker will be in attendance for a Q&A GOOD DICK is a modern love story about a troubled, reclusive young woman and the persistent video clerk who draws her out of her claustrophobic world by starting up a unique courtship with her. As they become closer, her sexual antipathy is met with his unflinching optimism, until finally her aggressive defenses overwhelm them and the relationship bursts apart. Profoundly affected by his presence in her life, she finds that she has the courage to face her past.

The filmmaker will be in attendance for a Q& A Set in the 1960's, a magical tale of two 12-year-olds embarking on an adventure to find new, cool parents and escape their neglected, overly adult,existence.

The filmmaker will be in attendance for a Q&A An offbeat comedy about a common mans daily struggle for dignity in the bleak town of Trona, CA. After befriending an outsider, Ray Tuckbys mundane existence begins to take on new meaning. He sheds the parasites in his life, musters the nerve to pursue his childhood love, and restores his community to what it once was.
